Great films stir us at our very souls. They enlighten, inspire and entertain us.
That is my sole purpose in being a filmmaker and that is where my passion lies. My natural ability to reach inside and get to the heart of the matter helps awaken that pure emotion and bring it to the surface. When we celebrate who we truly are... in genuine, compassionate and amusing ways... we can move mountains.

Film has that power.

What I do...
I am a storyteller. My stories speak of the truth and are made with real heart and soul.

I'm a freelance director, producer and editor for Maine PBS programming. I've created segments for the long-running "Made in Maine" show; as well as, two new shows called "The Maine Experience" and "Hometown Economies."

I make Television Programs that encourage people to think and feel.
I make TV Commercials that simply and clearly get the message across.
I make Corporate Films for organizations who want people to understand what they're really all about.
I make Biographies of fascinating people who affect and enrich our lives.
I make Documentaries about stories that are compelling and significant.

Somewhere in the middle of all that, I'm delighted to be working on a new short film...

I want to help you to communicate your message by telling your unique story in ways that people take notice. I will work with you to create a shared vision.

What people say...
"Sharyn is a wonderful storyteller who worked on a difficult story about the closing of the Loring Air Force Base in Limestone. With little more than a brief telephone conversation to go on, she took the story and ran with it. Sharyn delivered a story that was both emotionally compelling and informative. Her piece was one of the finest in the entire first season of 'Maine Experience'."
Chris Sweet,
Show producer of "Maine Experience"

"From the initial meetings on our employee recruitment video to the post-production music video that you produced for our employee event, you exhibited incredible care, talent, and work ethic. Along the way, you also showed a wonderful sense for getting the best from your interview subjects. You cared very deeply about capturing the best pictures and you showed great compassion in your interviewing style, setting people at ease and coaxing interesting, relevant commentary from each of them, whether they were the CEO or the mailroom clerk. Where some videographers might settle for a plain talking head shot, you found interesting and attractive ways to compose the frames which complemented their spoken word. In post-production, you showed a dogged determination to find exactly the right place for all the pieces, ultimately knitting together a compelling, authentic presentation for our viewers. In the months since they have been made, they have been seen and appreciated by hundreds of people. They continue to elicit great compliments not only for the stories they tell but for Wonder Dog. Congratulations and thanks for making us look (and sound) so good!"

"Our collaboration with Sharyn has resulted in an exceptional artistic and business achievement that presents the story of the Agency on Aging in a manner that is both highly informative and emotionally touching. Without the extraordinary dedication and singular talent that Sharyn brought to the project, such an accomplishment would not have been possible. I personally worked very closely with Sharyn on this project and know first hand of her sensitivity and skill, but also have been impressed with her grasp of the real business needs that must be met by a successful video presentation. She is able to offer a rare combination of creativity and business sense. I am certain that she will bring to any project a profound commitment to excellence along with the understanding and skill necessary to move from concept to successful completion."

Former Dir of Marketing and Development
