I am in the process of creating a new Wonder Dog Films website... updated and newly designed. Please come back again soon to see the changes.

Great films stir us at our very souls. They enlighten, inspire and entertain us.
That is my sole purpose in being a filmmaker and that is where my passion lies. My natural ability to reach inside and get to the heart of the matter helps awaken that pure emotion and bring it to the surface. When we celebrate who we truly are... in genuine, compassionate and amusing ways... we can move mountains.

Film has that power.

What I do...
I am a filmmaker... a storyteller. My stories speak of the truth and are made with real heart and soul.

I continue to work as a freelance director, producer and editor for Maine PBS programming. I've created segments for the once long~running "Made in Maine" show; as well as, two other shows called, "The Maine Experience" and "Hometown Economies."

I make Television Programs that encourage people to think and feel.
I make TV Commercials that simply and clearly get the message across.
I make Corporate Films for organizations who want people to understand what they're really all about.
I make Biographies of fascinating people who affect and enrich our lives.
I make Documentaries about stories that are compelling and significant.

Somewhere in the middle of all that, I'm delighted to be working on a new short film...

I want to help you to communicate your message by telling your unique story in ways that people take notice. I will work with you to create a shared vision.

What people say...
"I am pleased to write this letter recommending Sharyn Paul Brusie because she is one of the most talented producers to work for us here at MPBN. In the last couple of years alone, as a freelancer, she has produced about a half-dozen pieces for us, including feature stories for Made in Maine and a long-form historical piece on the Loring Air Force Base that aired in two of our series, Maine Experience and Hometown Economies.
Sharyn is a good writer, an accomplished editor, and she knows how to use video and soundbites to their full advantage to tell her stories. She is also a very thorough researcher. She found some incredible archival footage promoting rail travel to one of the most remote areas of northern Maine. It was one-of-a-kind footage that just made that piece sing.
She consistently meets her deadlines and is very organized with the many details that have to be attended to as a producer.
What’s more, Sharyn is extremely easy to work with; she has an easy-going personality and she quickly builds a great rapport with everyone she comes across. I would without hesitation hire her again for any television project we may have and would highly recommend her for your project."
Barbara Noyes Pulling,
Executive Producer of Television Productions
MPBN

"Sharyn Paul Brusie and Kevin Brusie of Wonder Dog Films have worked on a number of film projects for the Maine Medical Center Development Department. I have had the pleasure of personally working with Sharyn and Kevin the past two years for the filming and production of our Employee Annual Giving videos.
I could begin by telling you about their technical skills in directing, editing and filming - which are outstanding - or the willingness they demonstrate to adjust schedules, locations, etc. to meet a client's needs. I could talk about how well they work together and how easy they are to work with. But while this teamwork, flexibility and "high tech" side of Sharyn and Kevin's abilities are clearly important to the result and certainly reflect their remarkable work, it is the "human" side that they bring to these projects that is even more important and meaningful to me.
Sharyn's passion for her work and for the stories she is helping to tell is both uplifting and enriching. Her creativity, caring and understanding of our needs and message are more than I could have hoped for or imagined.
Sharyn and Kevin's filmmaking has literally touched lives here at the Medical Center.through both the piece itself and the people they are."
Sharon A. Caprio,
Annual Giving Program
Maine Medical Center

"Sharyn Paul Brusie's work for me at Maine Public Broadcasting was of the highest quality and integrity.
As producer of our flagship series, Made in Maine, I often had to rely on freelance producers to supplement our in-house production staff, with the hope of working with individuals who could accept an assignment and follow through all phases of production, from initial contact to final scripting and editing. Sharyn was one of those whom I could always rely on to produce creative, well scripted and engaging program segments.
I highly recommend her for any media production, be it writing, field production, hosting, or editing. Aside from her technical abilities and understanding of visual media, she has an artist's eye, and brings both quality and creativity to her projects."
Frank Ferrel,
Host / Producer
Maine Public Broadcasting Network

"From the initial meetings on our employee recruitment video to the post-production music video that you produced for our employee event, you exhibited incredible care, talent, and work ethic. Along the way, you also showed a wonderful sense for getting the best from your interview subjects. You cared very deeply about capturing the best pictures and you showed great compassion in your interviewing style, setting people at ease and coaxing interesting, relevant commentary from each of them, whether they were the CEO or the mailroom clerk. Where some videographers might settle for a plain talking head shot, you found interesting and attractive ways to compose the frames which complemented their spoken word. In post-production, you showed a dogged determination to find exactly the right place for all the pieces, ultimately knitting together a compelling, authentic presentation for our viewers. In the months since they have been made, they have been seen and appreciated by hundreds of people. They continue to elicit great compliments not only for the stories they tell but for Wonder Dog. Congratulations and thanks for making us look (and sound) so good!"
Michael P. Bourque,
Vice President, Corporate Marketing and Communications
MEMIC

"When a friend said she was giving me the gift of a video biography of who I am in my 80th year, I had no idea how that gift would change my life. Because of the way Sharyn did the interview, her loving affirming energy, I felt safe to be myself. What I experienced was a sense of my essence and that I loved it. What a gift, one that continues as I share it with friends (all are blown away by it). It has become part of me, a new sense of Self."
Barbie Potter

"Our collaboration with Sharyn has resulted in an exceptional artistic and business achievement that presents the story of the Agency on Aging in a manner that is both highly informative and emotionally touching. Without the extraordinary dedication and singular talent that Sharyn brought to the project, such an accomplishment would not have been possible. I personally worked very closely with Sharyn on this project and know first hand of her sensitivity and skill, but also have been impressed with her grasp of the real business needs that must be met by a successful video presentation. She is able to offer a rare combination of creativity and business sense. I am certain that she will bring to any project a profound commitment to excellence along with the understanding and skill necessary to move from concept to successful completion."
Frank Gruber,
Former Dir of Marketing and Development
Agency on Aging
